Spiritual Well-being

Spiritual well-being involves beliefs and values that provide purpose in our lives. Living with a meaning and purpose in life, guided by personal values, is key to feelings of well-being and connection to the larger world. This can mean many things and may be different for everyone. This can often include Contemplative practices through dialogue and self reflection around these beliefs and values. Contemplative practices are activities that guide you to direct your attention to a specific focus—often an inward-looking reflection or concentration on a specific sensation or concept. There are many ways that U of I students focus on their spiritual well-being, 比如瑜伽, 冥想, 祈祷, 肯定, or religious practices.
